The moment I stepped foot in this house, I envisioned a photo gallery wall in this front room. When we bought this house in August 2019, we’d been married for two years and still had not printed a single wedding photo. This gallery wall was one of the very first projects I did when we moved in and it really helped make our new house feel like home!

The Frames
Framing photos can be so ridiculously expensive and I didn’t want to spend a fortune on this project. After deciding on the right wall and taking some measurements, I scoured the internet for frames that wouldn’t leave me broke. Leave it to Ikea to provide the perfect option, in multiple sizes and colors!
I chose a pretty big wall for this so I ended up purchasing twelve 19.75″x 19.75″ frames to build the grid. At $14.99 each, nothing else came even remotely close to this size and price!
The Photos
Next, you have to choose the photos. Narrowing our thousands of wedding photos down to twelve for this gallery wall proved to be a task in and of itself. I will say though, I had the best time looking through all of our photos and reliving our wedding day! Once I finally settled on the right photos, I had them made into 12×12 prints at Walgreens for $5.99!
I decided to print all of my photos in black & white to make it look more cohesive and less of a statement wall that screamed “HERE ARE OUR WEDDING PHOTOS” … ya know? I feel like the black & white really achieved that.
The Gallery Wall
Getting them hung perfectly was daunting but with a laser level and 12 wire nails, I was able to do it completely by myself in one afternoon! The laser level was KEY in this process and made the whole thing so much easier! I highly recommend picking one up if you’re taking on this project! There are some pricey ones out there but this one is around $15 and worked wonders for me!

That’s it! This project seemed daunting to start but ended up being so simple and affordable! As the first thing people see when entering our home, it has become such a wonderful conversation piece! And personally, seeing these photos every day brings me so much joy and is a beautiful reminder of the promise Ben and I made to each other. I can’t wait to switch out the photos as we grow our family over the years!
